And a new monkey head potholder!

Man, I love monkeys. And woks. And bundt cakes.

This is the Lower-Fat Deep Chocolate Bundt Cake from Veganomicon. I made a substitution that is probably pretty major for this cake, but it still turned out fabulous. The recipe calls for over a cup of strongly brewed coffee, and that didn't make it into mine. I don't care for coffee flavor, and Ken and I don't drink the stuff, so we never have any in the house. Rather, I just used vanilla soymilk, melted some dark chocolate chips in it, and used some additional coca powder. All and all, a very moist and delicious cake! And I got to use a bundt pan that I scored at the thrift store a while back for some small change.
On a completely unrelated note, why do I want this so badly?

that cake looks yummy. tony and i don't do coffee either. as for your link... SO funny! i'm thinking its going to be a link for a new kitchen gadget of some sort, instead its a YODELING Pickle. amazing.
Me thinks the Price family is gettin' a yodeling pickle for christmas...
Ohh I want a slice (or all) of that bundt cake so bad!!
I <3 the monkey potholder and really like the idea of a yodeling pickle!! So phallic!!
A yodeling pickle... that's too funny. Your post is making me want a new wok badly. They are so versatile.
Can I have a piece of your bundt cake for breakfast?
omg, how did you live without a wok??? it's one of my favorite pieces of cookware. wow, i just realized mine is 10 years old & going strong.
i'm glad that bundt cake is good. i'll have to try it. been avoiding it because of the "lower fat" description. after days of stuffing myself in SF, it's looking like a better idea than the cinnamon bun i got last nite. :-)
monkeys are inherently funny. yodeling pickles are fucking hilarious. does it vibrate?
