Ken cooks! and yes, more Teese.

So I'm posting this way too late for Chris' "Men Who Cook" challenge, but I felt it needed a mention anyway because Ken not only cooked, but actually broke out a cookbook and followed a recipe!

While Ken is a smart, talented guy, and perfectly capable of feeding himself, I typically do most of the cooking around here. When the man does make dinner, it's usually a basic veggie burger or something. So I was super excited to find out that he was making the Spicy Almond Stir Fry from Vive le Vegan. We've had it before, and it's one of Ken's favorites now. Here's the stir fry with tofu, a variety of veggies we had on hand, over red quinoa:

We took the easy route for dinner tonight by making yet another pizza at home with Teese, black olives, fresh tomatoes, Tofurky italian sausage, and onions. I could probably eat pizza every night if we had enough Teese on hand. The stuff's just that good.

We will do some more "real" cooking once we have our next grocery trip. It's slim pickins around here come the weekend.

I've been waiting too long to order my Teese: your pizza looks so good I want to get some now, but the temps are too high over here to do it without a cold box thing. can't afford that! ah well. I'll live vicariously through you.

yum! I've gotta try that Teese...but I have to give the Cheezly Mozz. a go first......so glad we are finally getting some decent cheese subs!

Hey Elise, the Cheezly mozzarella is also pretty damn good. I prefer the Cheezly cold and sliced on a sandwich over the Teese cold.

ha, we had ANOTHER teese pizza last night. this time bbq chicken with collards. and yeah, the collards rocked on a pizza.

I can't believe I just found your blog! That stir fry looks awesome, by the way--kudos for Ken. I haven't been into Cosmos in forever because I had to move again (will it ever stop??) and I live up by Emory now. BUT I will stop in soon, promise!

I rushed over to Cosmos yesterday after dog adoptions and was so sad to see I got there 30 minutes after closing :-( I am dying for Teese!! I will be there Tuesday night after work for sure!
Oh wow, Ken is an excellent cook - that spicy almond stir fry looks excellent and that pizza is making my mouth water!

ARGH your Teese pizza is such a tease! I want to try that stuff sooooo badly :( Hey, I have an idea, why don't you guys open a Cosmo's Vegan Shoppe in Los Angeles?!? :D
