It's getting kind of crazy around here with the recent explosion of fake cheese. So much so, that we had to enforce a new rule for dinner tonight: not one bit of fake cheese, not even a sprinkle of Parma. Don't you wanna know what the last straw was?
Freakin' mozzarella sticks. Yes, we had fried Teese for dinner on Saturday. They were awesome, and I blame Elise.
You like how I put the salad greens on there, as if they were any match for the panko-encrusted deep-friedness that is vegan mozzarella sticks? I was worried about the Teese melting too fast during the frying process, but Laura and Kevin gave me the great idea to freeze the teese sticks before battering and frying. And overall, they held up just fine. And mighty tasty, they were. Ken and I ate about 1/4 lb. of Teese a piece that night. sigh.
